Andrea is a professional food photographer, now based in Denver, Colorado. But at heart and by origin she'll always be a true European. Being born and raised in the Czech Republic, which is often called the heart of Europe, her cultural and language connections to the whole region are very strong.
She has lived and traveled all over Europe and in Africa before moving to the US - for years she lived and studied Arabic in Tunisia where she met (apart from many amazing friends) her husband and together with him she grew her love for the South of France by frequent long visits centered mostly around food. Apart from that, she spent a lot of time traveling around Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy and other nearby countries and got married in Crete which she's considered her second home for over 12 years.
During her travels, she always strives to soak up the people, their languages, culture and all that, especially through their cuisine. Although her formal education is in clinical psychology, her adoration for delicious and beautiful food guides her through life and radiates from the images she creates.
When not spending time with her family or producing food photography and video work for clients in her studio, she has been slowly putting together a cookbook composed of her life story, travel experience, friends' tales and personal passions. She's also an avid swimmer, a musician and a dog lover. She was lucky to grow up eating her mom’s and grandmothers’ wonderful home cooked meals and considers herself a gourmet. She loves cooking as well, trying new recipes and adores sharing stories about good food, in both her images and words.
