  • On Valentines Day I always cook. For two reasons: first, every restaurant is trying to maximize their earnings on this day and everything is well overpriced and second and I think more important is that I show love through my cooking. My husband makes healthy choices when it comes to his diet, but on the special occasions he always requests a good piece or red meat. This Pan Seared Ribeye screams V-Day for us.   • For the last few days my 5-year-old keeps telling me that he wants to make pizza with me. We do it sometimes, he helps out with rolling the dough, spreading the sauce and adding cheese. And then he wants to eat it all. Now I think that I don't have any more excuses as @delallofoods just informed me that this is the National Pizza Day. YEY for Pizza Day!!!⁣

  • Do you have a dish that you used to eat in your favorite restaurant years ago? For me it goes about 20 years back when I found broccoli in cheesy sauce in my beloved Italian restaurant in my hometown in Poland. I would want to go there every week and have broccoli with a side of bread and just indulge. I wanted to recreate this dish for years and I finally got it right. When I made this Cheesy Broccoli Au Gratin for my husband for the first time, he finished, looked at me and said: "this is some broccoli!" Now, he requests this often. It's sooo good!⁣

  • This was one of the first recipes I have published on my blog, back in May 2014 and it was THE FIRST one accepted by @Foodgawker to feature in their gallery. I was beyond myself. I think that my food photography improved a lot since then but I still think it was a pretty good shot (maybe I got lucky there). Anyways, I wanted to tell you about this recipe because this is something so unique but also decadent and really delicious. It's PESTO made from dry porcini and fresh mushrooms, with roasted garlic, toasted walnuts, Pecorino cheese, parsley and olive oil and it's topped on French bread and covered with amazing Fontina cheese and toasted so the cheese is super gooey. Seriously, super delicious!⁣
