Horiatiki Salad

Horiatiki Salad, or village salad, is what is known in the US as Greek Salad. It is a very humble dish that uses fresh and simple ingredients. It’s in season from late spring to early fall – when the tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers are at their peak.

Ingredients

Tomatoes | Cucumber Bell Pepper | Onion | Olives Pepperoncini | Feta | Oregano Red Wine Vinegar | Olive Oil Salt | Black Pepper

PREPARE Cut the tomatoes and cucumber into 1-inch cubes and slice the bell pepper and onions into thin slices or rings.

MAKE SALAD Place the vegetables into a bowl, then add the olives and pepperoncini. Next, combine all dressing ingredients and mix well with the salad.

SERVE Top with a block of feta and serve with crusty bread.
