Pasta Alla Vodka with Spicy Sausage is my newest addiction. The luscious, creamy sauce paired with the spiciness from the sausage, makes for an irresistible dish.
Dry Pasta | Garlic | Onion Butter | Olive Oil | Vodka Chopped Tomatoes Heavy Cream | Parmesan Italian Sausage | Oregano
SAUTE Heat butter and olive oil, then cook onion, garlic and oregano. Add vodka and let it cook until almost all vodka has evaporated. Then add tomatoes and seasoning and cook for 10 minutes.
COOK SAUSAGE In a separate skillet heat olive oil and cook the sausage until fully cooked and some pieces are crispy on the edges. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
COMBINE Next, blend the tomatoes until smooth, then return to the pan and stir in the heavy cream. Turn off the heat, add in the parmesan, sausage and pasta.
Garnish with some more sausage and parsley. Enjoy!
