This Cheesy Green Bean Casserole with Gruyere and Panko is exceptionally delicious. It's made from fresh green beans, a luscious bechamel sauce with Gruyere Cheese, and topped with crunchy, buttery toasted Panko breadcrumbs.
Prepare bechamelMelt butter. Add flour and mix. Slowly add milk and mix until smooth.Remove from heat. Shred cheese, add in and mix until melted and fully incorporated. Grate in nutmeg. Season to taste.
Prepare your casseroleAdd sauce to the bottom of the dish. Then layer beans, sauce, panko topping & more Gruyere cheese. Bake for 25 min. Remove, let it cool slightly.
