GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

This Cheesy Green Bean Casserole with Gruyere and Panko is exceptionally delicious. It's made from fresh green beans, a luscious bechamel sauce with Gruyere Cheese, and topped with crunchy, buttery toasted Panko breadcrumbs.

Ingredients

Fresh Green Beans  Butter | Flour | Milk  Gruyere Cheese | Nutmeg Salt & Pepper Panko Breadcrumbs

 Parboil your beans Trim and cut beans, place them into boiling water, for 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare  bechamel Melt butter. Add flour and mix.  Slowly add milk and mix until smooth. Remove from heat. Shred cheese, add in and mix until melted and fully incorporated. Grate in  nutmeg. Season to taste.

Make toasted breadcrumbs Melt butter in a separate skillet. Add Panko, then toss together. Let cook for a couple of min, until crunchy.  Set aside.

Prepare your casserole Add sauce to the bottom of the dish. Then layer beans, sauce, panko topping & more Gruyere cheese. Bake for 25 min. Remove, let it cool slightly.
